Inspired by the minimalist landscapes celebrated by the brand, Polène’s boutique at Le Bon Marché mimics the mineral strata of polished rock. This topography has been shaped in a specialized, century-old workshop, employing techniques used by plaster craftsmen to create and restore the ornamentation and moldings of Haussmann architecture.
Le Bon Marché
Paris, Le Bon Marché
24 rue de Sèvres, 75007 Paris. Ground floor, enter at the intersection of Rue du Bac and Rue de Babylone.
Open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.
In the center of the store, a sculptural table called “Racine”, carved from wood by French cabinetmaker Robin Poupard, poetically evokes the organic form of a tree. Its presence demonstrates Polène’s commitment to promoting local artisanship in its shops.
Polène is offering customers who purchase a bag, a creative item crafted from upcycled leather off-cuts by using a thermoforming machine that can reshape leather in a matter of minutes.
